These gloves are expensive, as always Gore-Tex, but for me they were worth it. I've used them for a winter hike, a couple of bike rides, and for my daily bike ride. They definitely stop the wind and I haven't had my hands wet yet (which is crazy considering it's been raining every other day for months). Of course, these are rather standard specifications - what I really want to certify is the solid construction. I (unfortunately) crashed my bike into wet leaves while going down a steep hill with a turn at the foot (not really). I slid down the sidewalk about 10 feet and dragged my hands across the floor for most of the slide. My gloves survived! I had a SMALL hole on the back of one glove and it didn't even reach the second waterproof layer. I sealed them with some kind of tape and they look brand new. You saved my hands from a serious road accident. So many thanks to Gore Wear.
