Review on ๐Ÿ”ธ Versatile Foldable Aluminum Platform with Polyurethane Capacity for Efficient Use by Justin Metz

Does the job but has some design flaws and a lot of hassle.

I really wanted to love this foldable cart and as long as it does its job. There are a few things that keep it from being great (IMO). First, there are no notches on the handlebars to fix it at different heights, so it moves down as long as you push/pull it. I tried to pull hard to see if it would "hook" and it got stuck. I had to use a rubber mallet to close it. There's also no locking/locking mechanism for the handlebars when folded, so you'll need to secure them with something (I used velcro) or they'll wobble. Second, the support bars on the underside of the cart have very sharp corners at the ends, which can be a little dangerous if you're carrying it and forget to stay away from that side (cut/slice your leg a few times). Third, while it goes without saying that you need elastic cords to hold things in place, I've found that things (like plastic drawers) still tend to slide on the bed. I fixed this by putting a rubber mat on the bed before loading the boxes to keep them in place. Well, the next step was my experience, so take it with a grain of salt. I have only used this car twice. The first time I use it to haul a 60 lb bag of laundry and a 15 lb bag of detergent a block to the local laundromat. When I brought it home and stacked it in the hallway, I noticed there was a piece of metal on the floor, but I couldn't figure out what it was or where it came from, so I kept it. The second time I used it was to transport 2 boxes of groceries (about 120 pounds) that I had brought from Costco to my elderly neighborhood friends (during this pandemic) who live 4 blocks from me . This time as I closed it, a piece of metal (identical to the first one I found) flew out and hit my finger, snapping the nail off. I can only assume that it is used for cocking to help the folding mechanism. The car still runs (which surprises me), but this car is only two weeks old and already falling apart. I will not wait for the return period to expire and maybe something else goes wrong. go back.
