Review on Microshift Advent Medium Cage 9-Speed Rear Derailleur - Black with Clutch by Chris Burns

I used this when converting a Cannondale Trail MTB to an e-bike with a Bafang mid-motor. The Shimano components were over 5 years old and did the job. I prefer the Microshift derailleur to the old Shimano derailleur and no longer have a derailleur. One downside is that I used to be able to see what gear I was in by looking at the shifter. A small price to pay for smooth, reliable shifting that handles the high clutch torque well. A small complaint that isn't really a Microshift component bug, but I'd like to share it anyway in case anyone else is using this with Bafang BBSHD Transform. When I shift into the highest gear, the chain breaks. This is because the single front sprocket is quite far to the right, so the chain ends at an extreme angle. Not really a problem, since I wouldn't drive in the highest gear anyway - I tend to shift up quickly and usually only drive the 3-4 highest gears due to the motor support. I believe this problem will exist with any cartridge from any manufacturer and I would like to stress that this cartridge appears to be of high quality and durable. I would definitely buy it again and am considering buying it for my son's bike as well as he has chain issues with his standard Shimano gear.
