Less more. And Microshift offers a lot more!

This rating is for the 1x9 Advent system. So this rear derailleur, 9 speed cassette with 42 teeth and rear derailleur. You need all three (I think) since they work together. Amazing price. Amazing quality. Amazing aesthetics. I'm really in love with the Microshift brand. They filled the gap between high and low. And they are honest about what you get. In this case, you get excellent shift quality at a great price. So what's the catch? You lose a few speeds. In my opinion, I'm happy to lose a…

limited and misleading? and difficult.

I don't usually spend time on reviews except in this case the product isn't working properly and I've spent hours trying to see if I can fix the problem with gear shifting. as I was using an 11-40 9 speed transmission and spent hours researching online as I really wanted to see how the product worked. But that's not the case. . When I sent it back the seller said it had been used and I was only eligible for a partial refund. I was still okay with that and didn't bother until other excuses…

Really nice to have a 9 speed clutch shifter but you get what you pay for

This was the first derailleur and derailleur I installed myself. Installation went pretty smoothly, aside from the usual hassle of setting the switch (I need more practice). I had a hard time shifting it smoothly and feel like I have to constantly adjust it. Maybe I just need to improve the fine tuning. My biggest issue is that there is lateral play throughout the device. All the bolts are tight but the end of the cage moves back and forth a bit which I think could be the cause of the sloppy…

Heavy duty, suitable for e-bike conversions, excellent fit and finish

I used this when converting a Cannondale Trail MTB to an e-bike with a Bafang mid-motor. The Shimano components were over 5 years old and did the job. I prefer the Microshift derailleur to the old Shimano derailleur and no longer have a derailleur. One downside is that I used to be able to see what gear I was in by looking at the shifter. A small price to pay for smooth, reliable shifting that handles the high clutch torque well. A small complaint that isn't really a Microshift component bug…

Great Switch

I really like this switch. When you take it out of the box, it's a real TANK, not a fragile and light object. If the cockroaches survive the atomic bomb or the asteroid apocalypse, they will ride bikes with these advent switches. The cage return spring is quite strong on its own, making the clutch feel less necessary. However, the ratchet handle adds even more rigidity. However, the equivalent shifter has long levers with plenty of travel, and the shifting effort feels quite comfortable. There…
