Love how strong and heavy this cutting mat feels. There's nothing far-fetched about it, and that's what I like best. What I don't like the most is that there is no ruler on the sides, top or bottom like my old worn out one. There are numbers around the edges, but I prefer the inch/centimeter markings, which are handy at a glance, which this one doesn't have. a backup if you don't already have one, or just one as a backup set. Although the mat is self-healing, a slightly raised ridge can still be felt on more than superficial cuts. My old rug is much larger, awkward to store and too big for my desk, while at 18" x 24" this one is much easier to leave on my desk or store if I want to. I would change the label, meaning I'll have to stop and try to figure out what's what in terms of measurement. I would prefer the numbers and lines to be bold and thin to represent inches and centimeters. I also like the mat for its density, weight and protection of my surface while cutting.
