A long time Milwaukee drill fan (and extremely lucky owner of the venerable 1984 Milwaukee 5371 2sp hammer drill!) I bought this Makita for a co-worker at his request - and it was cheaper too ! Remember this is a 2 speed geared impact drill. So when we hooked them up, we tried using a 1-1/8 inch marine screw in a 2x6 - guess what - clutch worked - CLUTCH? a nice touch on a low power drill - a small drill like this needs a clutch! This is not a cordless screwdriver, but a "heavy duty" drill. 5371 Milwaukee and the tree bolted immediately. Needless to say, the poppy went back into the box and back to Revain. Instead, I ordered a NEW version of my drill, a Milwaukee 5387-22, and it's every bit as good as the old one - and in a whole different league from Makita's BLUE TOY. As usual, A MAZON was amazing in terms of easy return and fairness factor - thanks Revain.my 2 cents!
