I bought the size 6-10 years for my 8 year old. It was a bit too wide and long for my average height 8 year old (52 inches tall, 60 pounds) so I think it would be much better for a 10 year old. That being said I'm not sure what the manufacturer is thinking when they say this pair of gloves will fit both a 6 year old and a 10 year old. There is no way a 6 year old can hold them unless your 6 year old is the height of a 10 year old. The fabric is soft and slightly stretchy. He was a little loose, but he stayed in her arms and did his job. I am not sure if I will buy them again next time.
