I see if mold is growing, so I buy them.

Cons: Bristles changed. They are no longer hard and are great for scraping food - the bristles now bend too much and therefore cleaning the plate takes longer. Pros: You can see where the bristles are inserted into the brush head, which means you can see when it's taking shape. and act accordingly. With other brushes you will never see this mold or even know it is there.
