It's nice to have two tools in one
The whip is easy to use. The pedal wrench is great so I don't need a separate tool. I have a couple of newer bikes and one old one, and there are tools like headset and bottom bracket that don't fit old or new, or maybe even new and new. So I need some tools to make bottom brackets for example. It's just nice to have two tools in one.
