I used to have to hand pick the hair and lint off my comb when I could have slept an hour and a half better. But no matter how much time I spent, I almost always gave up, and my brush still had long strands wrapped tightly around the bristles, with lint sitting deep like lice at the roots (no, I don't have lice , but I know what it looks like). This little tool sped up the process (it only takes about 5 minutes now based on my sense of time) and everything came off (except for the dried shampoo dust, but that's what soap/shampoo is for). The wide end with long strands effectively removes tangles and some of the fluff, while the narrow end with small bristles removes the remaining fluff.
