The best weather radio so far

I was in Afghanistan for 2 years. We've used Grundig radios, very similar, but this one beats it in more ways than one. The solar panel makes this an easy task. The idea that you can leave the radio in the window and charge it costs $1,000,000. It's easy and efficient to keep 3 AA as backup.2. The light on this is 3 LEDs. My old Grundig had 1, which didn't do much. Don't get me wrong, there isn't "a lot" of light, but if you take this radio to the bathroom or around the house, there will be plenty of it. Ideal in a tent.3. Bonus, it has a charger to speed up charging, but it's not for wireless use, just charging.4. There is a plug with a USB adapter to charge the phone if needed. I haven't worked with it yet, but the idea of making a quick phone call in an emergency is worth it. The display on this one has a backlight that you can turn on. VERY comfortable in the dark. The radio is loud and clear and is now ready to go with a pair of solar lights and flashlights in a brightly lit area. I plan to just fill a small bag with solar flashlights, radios and hiking lights. My kids are discharging like crazy and this solves this problem. Finally, things can get critical when the zombies come. (fun of course) ;)
