Review on Maynard Cooper & Gale by Michael Walker

I worked with Greg at CGG for over 10 years - great professional who takes his work very seriously! Our organization benefited from his expertise during my tenure there as he was involved at all levels of accounting and finance including payroll processing and tax compliance responsibilities. He had some good knowledge about taxes but could improve this area as well (he did not have any formal training). At least one transaction we completed required him to use an Excel formula which in general is something you don't want your staff using if possible; however it didn’t cause us too much concern because no additional data entry was needed when calculating withholding or FUTA payments and in those cases accuracy doesn’t matter since they were direct deposits anyway. My other experience with MGCG also proved beneficial and helped me learn more about financial statement analysis and working effectively within multiple organizational cultures both internal and external. They have done projects for me before so I was confident that they would do well with my current project. It is a complicated renovation that required excellent communication with the tradesmen. The team was very organized and kept all parties informed throughout the process. They were also flexible as we hit some snags along the way but had contingency plans ready if necessary. The cost of the entire project exceeded what I budgeted, but when I asked them to reduce it by 10%, they agreed immediately.
