One of the cables worked and the other didn't. It didn't seem worth fighting for half the refund and I bought it as a gift for one of my kids. However, when the company found out I had a bad cable, they contacted me to fix it without asking me. It's really worth a lot. Lighted cables are very cool. It's also nice to be able to tell at a glance where the phone is plugged in, as the illuminated cord is pretty hard to miss. Of course, when plugged into a bedside table, it's too bright to turn on at night - unless you want to use it as a night light. That's when I noticed a feature I'd been missing, namely a switch to turn off the light. Good. Aside from the issue I had with one of the cables, they seem pretty solid and have held up well so far. Both connectors feel solid and the cable is heavy enough not to kink, but not so stiff that it looks like it might break.
