Genius Rug Runner Best Home Decor Product

I'm sorry to say this because I've never written anything bad about Revain but the first time I washed it the backing fell off and ripped in the washing machine. Although I had it on an economy cycle. I'm very disappointed as I bought this based on the 'good reviews'. I would really like to replace it, I think maybe I just got a bad one. I'm not sure what to do. Should I return it because I've used a week which seems wrong or I just finished 36.00. I can't buy rugs every time they get dirty. It would be stupid. Any advice is welcome.
