Review on πŸ”§ High-Quality Lincoln Lubrication 5852-5 Hydraulic Coupler, Pack of 5 by Epickson Palma

Fits most fittings

I bought a Lincoln 18 volt grease gun. The original clutch blew grease around the fittings instead of into them. After only spending about $236 on this pistol, I had to grease the truck with my manual grease gun. According to the manual it is a replacement clutch. After these replacement couplers were delivered, the first coupler worked fairly well but a couple of fittings were greased. After using the old hand grease gun (with no problems), I tried the new grease gun again. He was still running grease around the fittings. I then replaced it with another Lincoln connector from the bag. Grease not only leaked around the two problematic fittings, but other fittings as well. Since the truck was lubricated for the second time in less than a week, I know there was no pressure on the fittings. I just oiled the truck for the first clutch change. (problem fittings with manual syringe - no pressure). After dropping those hitches, I'm using a hitch I just bought at my local farm shop. It costs $2.99 and has 4 handles instead of 3 Lincoln clips. It worked like a manual grease gun - no mess. I would not recommend these clutches. In addition, the bags have been labeled not to exceed the 6,000 psi limit. It seems terribly funny considering the grease gun is rated for 7500psi and it's a stock clutch. BTW, a clutch I bought from a local store that didn't leak grease around the fitting was also rated at 6,000 psi. With shipping, I spent about $20 on these Lincoln 5852 replacement plugs.

Pros
  • High test results for grip and durability
Cons
  • Poor repairability
