Used old screws. Fits my 5.7 engine or Chevy 350 as they say I used old bolts but they were so tight in the engine bay it was just a touch. I used a grinder to mount the bits and grind the edges of the wrench. Runs better than the original. Seems to be strong. West Marine and the Mercury dealer wanted more than 300. The mechanic wanted 300 for the install. I really understand why. It took about 2-3 hours but it wasn't the starters fault. Deck boat 94 Marhia. We'll see, but we don't plan on owning the boat for long. I usually buy original parts for my boats. I will update when I go. One thing is that there is an additional terminal on the selenoid. I knew the yellow wire went to the S pin, unmarked, or with a big solder ridge on it. But the instructions don't help. So you must know your business. Have fun. Remember that the boat is a hole in the water where you pour money. It was my son's boat. All my boats are twin outboards, but I have years of experience with everything. Let's see for the money. I will definitely stick with outboards. ๐
