Review on Stay Warm And Stylish: Stormy Kromer'S Mackinaw Coat For Men'S Cold Weather Outdoor Adventures by Jarrett Young

Revainrating 2 out of 5

well made--weird pockets, no liner

This coat is for men who want to look like they spend time splitting firewood and working on a farm. It's not for men who split firewood and work on a farm.I live in a region with cold and snowy winters and am active outside in cold weather on a regular basis either for winter sports or doing chores. I liked the idea of this coat--an old school wool top layer that I could wear with various combinations of base layers to suit the conditions. However, the pocket layout is useless compared to many other coats I have. Similarly, I thought the lack of a liner (and therefore an inner pocket) wasn't a big deal, since it seems like this coat would be worn with many layers anyway, but actually it's a major drawback in practice. Unfortunately, instead of this being a go-to winter coat, it's just going to take up closet space.I like the construction and materials, but the design is bad.

Pros
  • Excellent product as expected
Cons
  • Difficult to clean and maintain due to rugged materials

i like the coat because it is wool which i will use it for hunting but when it gets colder i will use it as liner under a heavier coat. From Vermont
