Review on πŸ”Œ CyberPower RKBS15S2F10R 15A 12-Outlet 1U RM Rackbar Surge Suppressor for Enhanced SEO by Tray Smith

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not perfect, but 18 outlets!

18 outlets and a $150,000 warranty on attached equipment? Wonderful! [Edit: The manufacturer has responded to my feedback and corrected a small error in the listing that I noticed. The summary, description, specifications and images now match the 3600 J suppression.Initially the discrepancy led me to examine the manufacturer's product detail page for this model on their own website.] Unfortunately, the same product page stated that the clamping voltage is switched on This protection is 400 volts. High quality consumer surge protectors do not limit (or "exceed") more than 330 volts. The following applies: the lower the better for your downstream products, but the worse for the longevity of the line filter. If you need protection for sensitive equipment, you might be better off with more stringent surge protection. I used it to attach to the underside of a table; I was able to use the included rack mounts to hang it (rotated 90 degrees from its intended orientation) and still get 2 screws securing the mount to the PFU. This proved more than adequate even with such a heavy all-metal surge protector. Note that the cord on it is 15 feet long and is a traditional straight plug. I found both annoying - the heavy-duty cord was too long for me, quite heavy in the kit, and I ended up needing a Hug-A-Plug to keep the cord from sticking out so far from the wall. Update 2016: No complaints after a year of 24/7 use. [Update 2019: Still works great]
