After reading some of these reviews I was nervous that my product would also arrive broken and not power off as several people have said on here. I received mine and installed the batteries and turned it on. Works perfectly! Press the power button to turn off. He switched off. I moved the "lock" switch and turned it on. He turned on! I pressed the power button to turn it off. He didn't switch off. Instead, he switched modes. I flipped the lock switch to unlock and tried turning it off. It magically worked as it should and turned itself off! The product is not defective. People who can't figure out how to turn this off probably shouldn't be doing a task that requires it at all. They are fine when they get out of bed in the morning. Buy with confidence and hopefully you are smarter than this complex object.
