It is big, thick, flexible and long. Of course, my cockatoo ignored that, because nothing beats a chewable cardboard box, but he sits on it. I didn't see her doing it, but I can hear the bell ringing. She'll be more careful when there's confetti in the box. I've had these before and she ended up chewing them up and exposing the wire underneath so I removed it. This is a beautiful and affordable addition to their cage. I just realized this is for a small rope bass and I checked out a large one from another seller. So, to fix that, I'll say that this rope perch is small and a bit short, but it's perfect for a small cage where a bird will wait while I clean its large cage.
