Review on πŸ“Ά TP-Link TC-7610 DOCSIS 3.0 (8x4) Cable Modem - Boost Download Speeds up to 343Mbps. Comcast XFINITY, Spectrum, Cox Certified. Wi-Fi Requires Separate Router. by Greg Floyd

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Offers all the speeds you need and most likely can afford.

This works for Comcast 2016+ systems Yes, it will do for 345MB. .IF this speed is offered and you have to pay a lot of $$$ per month for this speed. This reduced my "FREE Dual Speed Update" to 175MB. My old router only managed 70 MB. It's just a cable modem. Not just any wifi. This allows ONE Ethernet connection to be used. If you need multiple computers and some kind of wireless connection, you need to buy a separate WIRELESS ROUTER. You need an ethernet cable from this modem to this router. The distance between them depends on where you can run the physical Ethernet cable in the house. This router connects to this modem and can allow any number of wired Ethernet connections. If the router you buy has 5 ethernet outputs and you need more than 5, connect a hub, and even one hub can be connected to another hub. WiFi speed depends on the router you buy and the download speed you pay your ISP for. The faster the speed, the more $$ per month. You can't get a 1700MB router and pay your ISP for 25MB and expect lightning speed. Wireless speed also depends on your PC/Laptop, a dual-core processor can only handle a limited amount of data, and older laptops/PCs may have slower Wireless-G or AC adapters. Newer USB wireless adapters/cards can improve wireless speeds, but are limited by USB speed or PC bus speed. My Intel I5 with SSD and 6GB RAM runs amazingly fast and boots like a wired PC. However, a single-core Intel laptop on the same wireless network is quite slow.
