I can confirm this model #58531 will work on a 2004-2009 Toyota Prius. Watching manufacturer and third-party reviews on YouTube helps a lot. The tool solves 40% of all AC problems. leaking Schrader valves! Please wear safety goggles. I love having OCD and took the following steps: Before I started, I took a can of air atomizer with a straw and blew any residue out of the L and H valves. I then took some fine cleaning swabs (MC Chemicals brand or similar ), soaked in some 90% alcohol and carefully and lightly cleaned the inside and outside of the valve, taking care not to get R134a on your face. (My few thin strokes trapped a lot of dirt!) I then mimicked what YouTube AC showed in their videos and used the tool to extract both valve cores (JRA size valve cores). The bottom came out easily. Up took a little longer. In general, I was pleased with myself that I made minor repairs to the air conditioner myself. The tool is reliable for repeated use. I kept it in a plastic holder with paper towels in hopes of protecting it from the moisture in my garage. I highly recommend this wonderful tool.
