Completely solid. - Air Conditioning Tools & Equipment

I just poured my jeep's air conditioning system only to find the only leak I left out was the high pressure fitting. I've had good luck with other Mastercool products so I decided to try #58531. Jeeps use stock valve cores, but this particular kit was available from Warehouse Specials, so I decided to save a few bucks. ;) The tool came without instructions, but was extremely easy to understand and use. The job actually took two minutes, and the tool lasted long enough to run to the auto parts…

Great tool great price

Worked. I needed a JRA sized valve tool and this was the best option. The instructions that came with it were clear enough, although it was pretty obvious how it was supposed to work anyway. The instructions mention that the fittings should be tight, but it doesn't say how tight they are. I have found that hand tightening is sufficient as the o-rings do the rest of the work. It takes some patience to insert a new valve into the port threads when the system's back pressure presses against you…

Play with it before you actually use it

So in the end this tool is great. I was able to remove and replace the Schrader valves. However, I would suggest playing around with the device and the various connectors so that they understand 1 - which of the main poles they need to use. How do you define it? You should be able to see which one fits in the valve hole. Don't delete anything with it yet, just find out which one. 2- Now you need to make sure you understand how the stem goes through the valve and how it opens and closes so you…

Strong. Works on Prius 2nd Generation 2004-2009.

I can confirm this model #58531 will work on a 2004-2009 Toyota Prius. Watching manufacturer and third-party reviews on YouTube helps a lot. The tool solves 40% of all AC problems. leaking Schrader valves! Please wear safety goggles. I love having OCD and took the following steps: Before I started, I took a can of air atomizer with a straw and blew any residue out of the L and H valves. I then took some fine cleaning swabs (MC Chemicals brand or similar ), soaked in some 90% alcohol and…

This tool saved me more than it cost

I filled up a 2003 Tahoe A/C unit only to find the Schrader valve core was leaking on the low pressure side. I was able to put a cap on it so it didn't spit out all the freon and ordered it for overnight delivery. I received it the next day. With this tool I was able to easily replace the valve core without releasing the freon, which would have cost me more than the price of the tool - my truck has rear air conditioning and requires almost 4 pounds of R134a. .Use this tool to mount the adapter…
