I bought this sunscreen for my 4 year old son based primarily on the Environmental Working Group's recommendations for the safest and best sunscreens. This is the top rated spray. What I love most about it is that my son loves it. Somehow it sits so light and silky that he really doesn't mind putting it on. I spray it on my hand and then rub it on his face and ears. We live in Florida so sunscreen is a commonplace thing. I have it in my car and carry it to school, camp etc. I wish I could use it for myself but it's too expensive for both of us to use it every day. So I mostly leave it to my son. I had trouble with that. During the day at the water park, I applied it before we arrived (9:30 am) and it was at the water park from 10:30 am to 3:00 pm. I applied again around noon after lunch. It wasn't enough. His cheeks and hands turned really pink. It wasn't a serious burn, and the next day he woke up pale. Part of the problem was that he was standing in the running water from the fountains 80 percent of the day, which I think really washed it away. I probably should have reapplied another time. Since then, when it's supposed to do something like that, I've been using a firmer, creamy sunscreen that seems to hold up better. But we mostly live in the sunniest climate and otherwise this sunscreen was great.
