When the box arrived at my door I thought it was a different package. It seemed too small for what it offered. When I unpacked the scanner, I had even more doubts about how it would work. I bought this scanner to gather my scattered documents, old magazines that I don't want to get rid of and lots of books that are taking up too much space. .From this perspective, it means thousands of pages to scan. It looks too small for this task. Start a test run. The initial setup was so easy I thought I did it wrong. It took maybe five minutes to set up the scanner and another ten minutes to set up the software. That's it, I'm done with the setup. I was ready to start scanning. Surprised this is a full color scanner. I had a book with a cracked spine, so I cut the spine off completely, placed the cover on the tablet, and hit the scan button in the software. . Full color cover. I put about 50 pages in the feeder, changed the scan setting to grayscale, and pressed the scan button again. After 30 seconds he scanned both sides. I kept loading pages until I finished the book. But the hardest part is assembling all the batches of scanned images. Starting with the first batch, I could combine them with the second batch, then this one, and then the next batch until I combined them all. That's also 2 mouse clicks every time I combined a stack. Next came saving. That was the hardest part. The range of files I can save turned out to be larger than expected. I expected only pdf. I wasn't expecting to find a searchable PDF, there are more file formats to choose from. Overall I have to say this is a scanner beast. It met my expectations. I would recommend this for any small business or home document storage needs.
