Review on AQUAEL Turbo 1000 filter by Barbara Lis EH ᠌

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Does not meet my expectations, it was not worth buying.

Boiled during use! I have been using this filter for 4 months and all that I haven’t touched yet is a pump with a mount and a diffuser nozzle. The main disadvantage, in my opinion, is that it heats the water a lot, the temperature in the aquarium did not fall below 24, the aquael heating pad did not even turn on, but stands at 24 (at 21 degrees in the room in the aquarium 26 !). The filter is not silent, because from it comes a vibration that is transmitted to the glass itself and further, there is a small rumble already used to it. The air supply adapter is very narrow (the power with it is the same as that of 500, it will do for an aquarium of 100 liters, but 150 does not pull, not to mention 200) had to be drilled out. After that, there was a problem with adjusting the air, it was not possible to set it to a minimum (either a lot and noisy from the bubbles, or it did not solve the problem by inserting a twisted padding polyester into the air regulator). Well, there are no filtering materials (a sponge filters only large debris and ceramics are useless, because there are no gravels with the same success). Before that, I used a turbo 500 with a metal rotor rod (old version) there were no such problems with it.

Pros
  • availability of aeration, pump power
Cons
  • gets very hot, noisy, weak water flow with an aeration adapter installed, ceramics are useless, a large cell on the sponge
