Does what it should at a very reasonable price! Listen, if you're wondering if you want to afford a vinyl collection since albums, a good turntable and more can be expensive, this stylus/cartridge setup should help you decide. I play through an old stereo with an old but great DUAL 1229 turntable. I wanted to go back to vinyl but maybe you wanted to do it on a reasonable budget that would give me the best bang for my buck BUT it needed to be treated well too your notes. My original, very old Shure cartridge was dead, so I went with Audio Technica. Sounds great and the variety of needles available for the same cartridge makes it a bonus. Take the time to learn and set it up properly. It's very simple but very important. You will not regret it. (Oh, and keep those records CLEAN!)
