I've been working on creating a display for my motorcycle using Raspberry Pi, Arduino and CAN bus data. I ordered this screen about a month ago (October 2019). It was packaged very well and had no defects as far as I could tell. I hooked it up to my Raspberry Pi 4 and it was clear and bright. Perfect for what I needed it for. Unfortunately, I noticed signs of deterioration already in the first few days. I left it in a fairly cold room. When I checked it the next day, the polarizing filter started peeling off the LCD and the touchscreen started failing. HOWEVER: Elecrow contacted me after seeing that I had had a somewhat negative experience and offered to send me another one. to show that their screen is able to meet my needs. Before writing this review I had to be sure that I would never see the same results again. So I put it in the same room with an even lower temperature than the one that was starting to affect the other. I waited two days and when I checked the screen was fine! There were no problems with the touch function and the filter didn't bubble either. Worked plug and play with my Raspberry Pi 4 and will definitely add a nice touch to my bike. I definitely recommend this product. I'm pretty sure my situation was an isolated case as there are absolutely no issues in this case and I applaud Elecrow for their excellent customer service over the long term. Happy holidays and good luck. for all your DIY projects!
