. I bought this bag to put under my new Pioneer DEH-X6700BT as my old 2000 Volvo V40 Mitsubishi SC-816 head unit was doubly loud. I read somewhere that the Volvo double din size is not a standard double din size, so only single din units will fit. Pioneer's installation guide helped me verify this as all the units that fit in my car were the same size. Anyway, I was a bit disappointed with this plastic bag. Looks good, assembly is easy. However, the fit was an issue. The bag itself fits perfectly in my lower DIN slot. If the pressure is very strong, it slides inwards, otherwise the plastic struts ensure a secure hold. The faceplates that came with this bag gave me trouble. The one I was supposed to use in the manual didn't fit because my car had plastic rails that didn't allow the bezel to snap into my pocket. Other faceplates either gave me the same problem or didn't close the gap between the DIN slot and the plastic case. I ended up using industrial grade glue to glue the bezel directly to my machine's bottom DIN slot. It worked and looked good, but I would have preferred the product to just fit. Mine didn't have the CD pull tabs and has 4 holes on the back of the case useful for routing the mic on your aftermarket head units. The plastic tabs that hold the bezels in the pocket are disposable. If you have to take the bezel out of your pocket, be prepared to snap these tabs. Everything is fine with this product. It's made of cheap plastic but looks good. Just don't expect everything to fit perfectly. It didn't fit my Volvo V40 like I wanted, but I've read that it goes well with the Volvo 850.

Pros
  • . Fingers crossed.
Cons
  • . I will add later.
