I really like this little gadget. Once I tried cooking Spam Masubi without it and I couldn't get the rice to form. The result was a big mess. I was a little worried about the quality given how cheap it was, but it was an unnecessary concern. There is no English manual on the box but there are pictures so it is quite easy to use. The cob part has small protruding pebbles which I assume prevent sticking, but nothing sticks to it anyway, not even super sticky rice. I just put on my nori strips, put a square box on top, loaded it with rice then spam, put the top on and pressed down, lifted the whole block and voila. perfectly designed spam masubi. Then I wrapped the seaweed and done.
