This has helped me take control of my devices. I use the cloud from time to time and sometimes my devices are off without cellular data because they don't have cellular data and I'm in a car out of wifi range or in a park. When I switch to a different device, if I never let the old device update from the cloud (by connecting to the internet) before switching to a device that has cellular data or Wi-Fi in range, I get a sync issue . This usually results in conflicting notes or two versions, which can be a problem. Sometimes I can make up to 3-4 copies when switching between tablet, laptop, desktop and mini laptop. That helped me figure it out. NOW I can manually save to microSD, which is usually supported on many devices that don't even have a USB port. I can then remove the chip and continue working on my laptop or desktop computer. I no longer have to worry about sync issues. Everything is right where I left off as I have a printed copy of the save in my hands. It reminds me of carrying memory cards back in the N64 days or the early PS1 days. It's GREAT and reliable because you save it when YOU save it. However, the cloud still helps as a backup, just in case. I can still sync the backup if needed.
