Review on πŸ”΄ High Gloss Restoration: Meguiar's 7" Rotary Foam Polishing Pad with Hook and Loop - WRFP7 by Jojo Howell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

MUCH better than expected!

I have been polishing cars and boats for over 20 years and have tried every tool, trick, polish and spray on the market. To my surprise, Meguiar's has products in almost every category, and this one is no exception. (Their buffer isn't the best, but their liquid products are hands down the best.) I have a Porter 7424XP cable and have been using it for several years. I have to say no matter what foam pad I try, they never come close to effectively removing oxidation from paint or fiberglass. I burned at least 15 yellow and orange pads to buff the color so I decided to try wool. hard cotton in no time. I decided to give it another try and ordered this pad when I ordered something online. At first there was a flag of wool everywhere, what a mess! All the wool was in wax, the car was everywhere, even my clothes in my mouth! I thought it was a big mistake but I kept going. WOW So once the excess hair is shed the first thing I notice is that the product doesn't build up in the wool. It dissolves almost completely and the pad does not stick. The second thing I noticed is that IT WORKS REALLY WELL! It was like a dream - I used the Ultimate Compound Meguiar and the deep scratches were filled in, the water marks were gone and most importantly it was a reflection looking at me. Cleaning. First, there is NO buildup, you can just wash it out with soapy water and rinse it off with ease. I expect to get quite a few uses of this one at once! PROS: Works very well! Has the bot accumulated on the pillow, and to clean it, just wash it with soapy water with your hands. CONS: Lots of hair flying all over the place the first time you use it. I would not recommend using it in a garage until the shoe cracks.

Pros
  • Polishing and Buffing Pads
Cons
  • I have no aversion to them, everything is fine
