Review on 🚴 SHIMANO SL-BS77 Dura Ace 9-Speed Bar End Shifters for Double/Triple Configuration by Cody Cobbs

While sporty bikes are fitted with 'brifters', combined shift and brake levers, fully loaded touring bikes are typically fitted with bar end shifters for easy repair in the event a tour needs repairs. These derailleurs are easy to install, but I found the derailleur cable to be too short. Having bought several pairs and encountering this problem every time, I say that Shimano should fix this problem. The left derailleur is a friction derailleur, not an index derailleur. To my knowledge the 10 speed version has indexing on both derailleurs. I don't think left (front) shifter rubbing is a problem on these 9 speed versions.
