Review on Electrical Outlet Self-Testing Resistant Indicator by Robert Berio

My husband ordered 3 of these to put in our kitchen. Out of the 3 only 1 works out of the box. I give 2 stars because it worked in the end. though not without a fight. The first one he found had the ground screw unscrewed. So he tried to screw it back in but couldn't because it's held together by a small plate inside to tighten the wire. . It's basically a sandwich wire when inserted. He had to find something small and strong enough to stick in where the wire was supposed to go to hold this plate and carefully screwed the screw in, hoping it would catch. He ended up using a folded paperclip with both ends together to hold it. The second paper clip was more or less the same except for the neutral side. He said that the plate turned inside when trying to tighten it and couldn't tighten the screw on the wire. He managed to find a spot where he eventually became hooked and could be tightened. All in all it wasn't worth the trouble. A 15 minute job took 1.5 hours to try out MacGyver together.
