This is a protein isolate, just to be clear.

I bought this protein for morning smoothies to add more protein to my diet. I have been using brown rice protein concentrate for a long time and it has given me exactly what I want. I have trouble digesting a lot of things and that has never been a problem for me. Protein concentrate and protein isolate have similarities and differences. From what I understand protein concentrate is a more natural form of protein that is absorbed more slowly by the body (you can almost think of it as a release over time) as it also contains carbs and fat. A protein isolate is simply a protein that has been "isolated" or extracted from other ingredients through a series of processes such that it is typically higher in strength per serving and is quickly absorbed. So this would be great for professional bodybuilders and those who go to the gym often and need a quick protein hit before or after a workout. Unfortunately, I had no intention of switching to rice protein isolate, but that's a big part of what this product has. They only tell you once on this list that it's basically isolation and I missed that when I ordered. I've been using it for 4-5 days now and it's upset my stomach so much that I'm waking up in the middle of the night with gas. Be careful if you take the full dose right away. I'll try lowering the dose to see if that helps, but I feel like I can't use it and most of it is wasted. .The powder itself mixes normally. The taste isn't great, but I've never had a pure rice protein that didn't taste like this. I really like that it doesn't have any additives or flavorings so I'd rather have it that way and not great tasting than it was filled with chemicals to make it sweeter or taste better. So I hope that my review was understandable. that there are some people who really benefit from it, but make sure you know it's an isolate as distinct from a concentrate. I would like this company/product to be a bit clearer in marketing and labelling.
