I wanted this to put out on my enclosed back sunroom. We only use it in the summer so we don't heat it real hot in the winter. Our gas bill would triple this year if we tried. Anyway, we have a big glass sliding door to the backyard in this room. The dog goes out this door in the winter 100% of the time because our front door usually gets snowed in on a regular basis. Opens out. So this heater was to be put really really close to the door so it doesn't freeze shut as it usually does. (Metal frame). The heat it generates even on high wouldn't keep even 1/2 the door warm enough to keep from ice forming in the tracks with the entire room being so cold. It's so short in length. The tall black oil heater in the picture I provided is the one we usually use.and does an excellent job. Big boy heats a huge room to almost too hot for me. But we are giving it to our youngest son and his new family to help with the cold winter this year. Their apartment is like a refrigerator all winter. Price of energy is going through the roof so oil radiator heaters are the cheapest way to go as well as safest. So very efficient. I'm not sure what we will do with this little (white) heater right now. Maybe in an emergency it will be of some limited use. As it is right now it's not effective for my needs. It does get hot and it will heat up a very very small space but don't expect it to reach out very far. I have a first floor bathroom that is no bigger than a walk in closet and it heated that room up fine. Don't need it in there because it's already one of the warmest rooms in the house! It took 15 to 20 minutes for it to get to FULL heat strength. If you need it for a really small bedroom or office this probably would be a great helpful little unit. It's not heavy so it can be moved from one place to another with ease. It's not like a forced air unit that could easily catch objects on fire. I still wouldn't want anything to come in contact with it though. Safety first. Keep little hands away from this because it truly gets hot. My 6 month old Sheppard/Yellow Lab mix got right up on it during the test run and backed away. Yep. hot. Not peeling paint off the wall hot but could make little hand ouches. All in all I think it's an ok product. Just make sure to take into account how small it is. Well hang on now! I just thought of something! This would be perfect to sit in front of an open cupboard where outside pipes are. I live in the country and dog almighty does it get ❄️🥶🥶 cold! Pipes from the well to the house can freeze. This would be absolutely perfect for that! Yesssss! This is a fantastic product for that! Yahoo! Now we're cookin!
