Well, you can pay less for an eSATA docking station. However, my experience is that this product really is worth every penny spent.

I tried two other cheaper brands before finding a reliable eSATA docking station for my Windows 10 computers. I've found that the prices of StarTech products remain surprisingly stable. I suspect their quality convinces their customers that StarTech products are worth a little more than they're worth. When trying to find a decent docking station, I used the same cables and connectors. Only the StarTech dock did all the tasks I asked it to do. From bulk copying to important archives, I was finally able to get tasks done without any issues. The small profile of this docking station allows you to place it where other products won't fit. With more of the disk open, there appears to be more cooling. Even after continuous use, the 7200 WD Blue remains quite comfortable.
