This is my second purchase of this product. The first cap lasted about two years, then I found that it only locks if you turn the cap clockwise. When locked, it will click when rotated either way, but if rotated counter-clockwise, the lid will pop off while remaining in the locked position. Apparently there was a clicker defect as the new cap doesn't click when locked, it just spins freely. I prefer to wring, no force can be applied to the lid when wringing.
