Review on ๐ŸŽฎ Wii U Fitness Tracker by James Roper

Good price for a complete gaming experience.

This is an updated Pokewalker with some cool features. Sure, it's been repurposed for the Wii Fit U and has new/adapted software, but it's basically the same device as my kid's Pokewalker that came with the Soul Silver. It's a pretty decent pedometer, and I've only synced it to the Wii Fit U twice so far. It gives you a history of your ascent, steps, calories burned, time and temperature. The finish scratches fairly easily and after only two weeks of use, mine is a little worn just from clothes and the seat belt. Considering the price, I'd say it's a good way to get a $20 Wii Fit U (while the sale lasts). In terms of syncing, it uses the Wii U controller's IR port (just like using the Pokewalker on the DS). It's pretty finicky as it has to be held still, and I had to try syncing it three times before realizing that you need to put the controller and meter on a flat surface first (do you read the manual a lot?). I only synced at the end of the week, and each day's activity was logged, so that's a nice feature too. BONUS! If you already have a Wii Fit Wii Balance Board, it works great with the Wii Fit U, allowing me to get all the functionality of the Wii Fit U for the price of a Wii Fit U Meter. All in all, a great way to track your daily life's ability to burn calories and tie your day to a 'game' that you can review and 'play' when you get home.
