I fixed the tight fitting lid mentioned in many other reviews. I couldn't half turn either. So I took my regular nail file and partially rubbed the four tiny ridges on the lid that make it so tight. Now the lid stays closed when pouring, but I can just screw the lid back on after pouring. I like the slightly under 2 liter jug because it's shorter and now fits on my fridge shelf when the full 2 liter size doesn't fit. It's the perfect size for me, very durable and attractive. If you use the energy-saving "No Heat Drying" mode, it may sink to the bottom of the dishwasher. I will be buying another one now since this one is in the dishwasher!
