This review is for b550m aorus pro-p mobo, i have a Ryzen 5 3600 (very good silicon quality, can work with CCX0 4.5GHz, CCX1 4.3GHz with Vcore working 1.35V); paired with 3600mhz cl 16-19-19-38 at 1.4v ram (micron c9bkv manually overclocked very stable), msi gtx 1080 ventus gpu and firecuda 520 500g pcie gen4 ssd as OS drive. mobo differs from the original p version in that this mobo is equipped with a more powerful power supply (derived from the atx b550 aorus pro design) which is on the same level as msi b550 tomahark/gaming edge (they have the same vrm -design and the same chip ); asus rog strix x570i (itx mobo, in terms of vrm, x570e is stronger than x570i, b550e is even stronger than c8h/c8f, currently asus strong am4 mobo is c8dh/b550xe); asrock x570 taichi (asrock strong am4 mobo rn is b550 taichi or x570 aqua, aqua has higher gain range where b550 taichi has extra phase and better ramller control) in general b550 phones are just better than x570 phones, only Because b550 phones came out almost a year later than x570 phones, the biggest plus for x570s is PCIe gen4 support (but for non-professional use, the extra speed of gen4 isn't obvious at all). I had x570i aorus pro wifi mobo for my matx case which was the cheapest pcie gen4 itx mobo on the market at the time (b450 doesn't support pcie gen4); but the bios on the mobo was wrong, i have updated the bios on this mobo several times to see if i can get better overclocking performance for my 3600 (which i can only get on all 4.3 cores at 1.35v and only on the 3600 18-22-22-36 with 1.35V for RAM) This module has 5 PWM fan headers, sufficient for a typical fan controller in a Matx case; three 12V RGB heads and two 5V Argb connectors for lighting control; Standard USB 3.1 Gen 2 for front I/O, no front USB 3.2 Gen2 Type C; no debug ads (which is a pity, this mobile with debug ads would be much more competitive compared to the tuf b550ms and msi b550m mortars); one PCIe 4.0 x16 slot; One PCIe 3.0 x1 slot; PCIe 3.0 x16 in the size of a slot (but works in x4 mode), all these slots do not interfere with any of the m.2 slots or SATA ports (learn from this msi!); each pcie slot is divided into a slot; 10 rear USB ports (four 2.0; four 3.1; two 3.2 including one Type-C), plenty of ports for your devices; does not come with a WiFi card, so you need a PCIe WiFi card (you can put it in the second x16 slot if you have a GPU). Overall, while this module is very robust, it will be updated if anything changes. addressed this issue in his subreddit post, you can find much more information there; Personally, I haven't encountered any problems with this phone (or other AM4 phones I have, I've built 9 of them in total). A recommended possible solution is to disable the "Global Control" option. c-state" in the BIOS, c-states are different types of processor idle/sleep/hibernate behavior when the operating system (OS) is in different situations. (standby, sleep, etc.), since I personally use this option always disable when overclocking (after waking up make the system more stable or unsuccessful overclocking), this can be a possible solution to the problems discussed above; In addition, the AMD official also recommended updating the BIOS to the latest version (at the moment the latest version for b550m aorus pro-p f13c); Make sure you have AMD chipset driver installed in your operating system (latest version should be 2.13.27.501); Another possible solution is to enable PCIe mode in BIOS manually changing from gen4/auto to gen3 (I personally think this might be the cause as most of the users experiencing the problem have a gen4 GPU) An update will come n if the AMD official has more information or if they have a specific solution.
