Baofeng Mirkit Series FTDI USB Programming Cable is much better than the standard BTECH version of this cable. I have found that I can program my UV-5R and UV-82 radios much faster than with a standard cable (download and upload speed to/from the radio is 7 seconds). Another really nice feature of this Mirkit edition is the sturdy case. It lasts much longer than the BTECH version and the included Velcro keeps it perfectly folded in the box with the kit. I definitely recommend this cable over the standard any day of the week cable. !
