I've been using this device for about two weeks to correct the bad behavior of our two energetic and hyperactive Weimaraners (jumping up at us, visitors or furniture, repeated barking) at the front door , digging or digging in the backyard, etc.). Within 24-48 hours we saw a huge improvement in behavior. Don't overdo it (a quick press of the activation button when you hover it over an animal will do). They are so heavily conditioned that now all we have to do is pick them up without activating them and the unwanted behavior will stop. I think the packaging/instructions say it works up to 50ft which may not be entirely accurate for outdoor use but certainly works up to 15-20ft for us.
