Review on 🧲 Flexible Magnetic Phrozen Monoprice 135x75mm by Tim Burns

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works suspiciously well for a $15 part.

Application I:- Heat the build plate with a heat gun until warm enough but not scalding at all. I was still able to handle it with no problems - Cleaned the surface of the build plate with rubbing alcohol and a lint free cloth - Heated the 3 meter side of the magnet with a heat gun but not as hard - Glued them together - An old t-shirt placed on the edge of my desk/workbench so that two layers of fabric lie flat on the table with no creases - Place the just glued and warm build sheet onto the t-shirt, magnetic side down - Use the G-clamp to clamp the build sheet onto the table over shirt and pull fairly tight - let cool to room temperature for about hours. I've been typing non-stop since I got this item afterwards and haven't had any problems. I think without that $18 plate learning SLA printing would be a lot less fun as taking the plate off and aligning it every time would suck. Almost every one of my prints bonded well. I can sand it down a bit more as some of the imprints stick to the FEP, but I'll wait and see if replacing it with nFEP once it arrives will solve a very rare problem.

Pros
  • Strong Adhesion
Cons
  • Out of fashion
