Mount better than expected.
As you know from reviews, the spacers that fit smaller handlebars are complete hard plastic garbage. You need to find a good rubber to attach the clamps to the steering wheel. I would suggest something like an old inner tube or even an old tire that can be cut into strips. On the 1" portion of the stem, if you can press the clamps right upside down, just put a small amount of thin rubber on one side of the clamp and it's pretty stiff.
