I think this is normal for some applications.

Didn't push through the hairball in the tube. All the drain king water went through but the leak from the air conditioner drain didn't go down and drained into the sink. The air conditioner drain had no electricity, only gravity, while the drain king was powered by water pressure. I had to disassemble the pipe and use a 25ft cable snake to push it through. I would use Snake first and then flush with Drain King.
