Review on DORSAL Thick Microfiber Surf Poncho by Wanick Palermo

My original purchase was a gift from my daughter who is training for an open water triathlon and used a full body wetsuit during off-season training. Gently undressing at the beach can be quite a challenge, and removing your wetsuit isn't easy, even in the changing room. When the Dorsal Surf Changing Poncho Towel arrived I checked it out. I was immediately struck by its velor softness. I was also impressed with the quality of the terry fabric and stitching. I had to have my own! I tried to go from street clothes to a bathing suit in my living room. The first thing I learned was to pull my hands inside the poncho before trying to do switch-rrr. It's funny how obvious this is in hindsight, but you'll bar your butt by pulling the hem up to your waist while keeping your hands out of the poncho. Once put on, changing into the poncho was a breeze! I had a lot of elbow, knee and leeway. I'm a 5'5" woman and the hem falls 3.5" below my knees. I measured shoulder seam to bottom hem at 40 inches. My hips measure 42 inches and my back surf poncho towel measures 68 inches. I wear sweatpants around the house but these are a great substitute. this is a great substitute I wear a pareo in the pool but this is a great substitute. Okay, so it's not that sexy! I use a towel to dry off but this is a great substitute. I used to change in a cramped and smelly public toilet stall, but this is a great substitute. No noticeable shrinkage after two washes. I line dry because I don't want to ruin the embroidered name and cloth. The only very minor issue is that it doesn't dry as quickly, but if that would mean changing other properties of the poncho fabric, it's not worth it. Personally, I'm not a fan of sweatshirts because the weight of the hood pulls on the front of the body. n in my throat. I usually cut the hood into the collar. I'm not sure I will modify this wonderful product because I certainly don't want to ruin the clothes. I might buy a few more to experiment with one of these.
