This is the best quality your gun can get considering its value. I quickly installed them on my 2006 e90 300i pre lci. However, STABILUS has original supports for both the trunk and the bonnet. I spent the extra money on trunk stabilizers as they will likely last longer and people tend to open the trunk more often. These BOXIs come in a very pretty blue box and I love the way it looks so I checked out the logo when I opened the trunk. I would buy them and honestly I don't understand why people have problems. If they go bad, like above, I've pointed you in the right direction. It's not always a product, there is such a thing as "human error" (:
