Attention, cable problem

I received my Dell P2219H monitor from Revain today and while trying to install it I encountered an issue I should be aware of. The DP cable from the monitor to my computer (Inspiron 3252) goes to the monitor but not to my Dell computer. What was sent is a cable, square on one side and rounded on the other. The inlet opening is rounded at both ends. The worst part of this hook had to do with Dell's "support". Department. they couldn't help. then sent to someone else. who was about to answer and after 20 minutes of listening to music in the elevator and being on call the phone was picked up by someone else who had no idea what I had explained to the previous 3 "service" people. He was gathering information and the call just ended. Check the back of your computer before ordering this monitor. And don't waste time calling Dell.
