This suspension set consists of 3 rails (16" each) and 6 hooks. Each rail features 4 sets of mounting holes allowing for multiple mounting options. In my shed, the post spacing (open) is 24 inches, which means I cannot attach a rail to more than one post. The included screws looked strong enough to attach the rail to a stud, so I used a pair of mounting holes closer to the center of the rail. Yes, it was indeed strong enough to hold two bikes provided you didn't use the mounting holes on the end. 3 separate rails are handy as you don't have to hang all the bikes next to each other - you can put each of the rails in different places if that's better for your storage needs. The hooks are rubberized to protect the bike wheels from scratches. There is also a rubber strip along the bottom edge of the rail to prevent the hooks from sliding left or right.
